Location
Situated in the Haut-Rhin département at 550 m altitude, Rimbach-près-Guebwiller is at the foot of the Grand Ballon. The village is at the head of a narrow valley. The chalet is at 700 m altitude. The valley of Rimbach is situated below mountain slopes and where its forests thin out towards the upper reaches of the Grand Ballon, there are still traditional mountain huts like the Glashütte and the Boelchenhütte. To the East of the Rimbach valley is the valley of Guebwiller. |
